David Archuleta’s Christmas Album

Bagi umat Kristiani, bulan desember identik dengan penyambutan hari Kelahiran TUHAN YESUS KRISTUS, hari natal.   Yup!! Dan natal pasti gak jauh-jauh dari lagu-lagu seperti O Holy night, Silent Night, The First Noel dan lagu-lagu lainnya.
Lagu-lagu natal seperti itu sudah sangat banyak dinyanyikan oleh banyak penyanyi-penyanyi mulai dari penyanyi yang belum dikenal oleh masyarakat umum, sampai penyanyi kelas dunia seperti Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Josh Groban, dan masih banyak lagi. Beberapa penyanyi sekuler bahkan telah meramaikan album-album bertema natal.

Untuk Natal tahun 2009 ini, salah satu penyanyi yang merilis album bertema Christmas adalah David Archuleta, runner-up American Idol season 7.  Album ini diberi title “Christmas From The Heart”, dengan tracklist:

Menurut saya album ini sangat recommended untuk membangkitkan semangat natal Anda J . Kualitas vokal David Archuleta memang tidak diragukan lagi, totally amazing!! Single yang paling oke dari album ini tentu “O Holy Night”. David membawakannya dengan kekhasan suaranya sendiri, dan beberapa ornamen yang berbeda dari penyanyi-penyanyi lainnya yang pernah membawakan lagu ini. Nada tinggi di akhir lagu sangat mengagumkan. Single lainnya yang menurut saya sangat bagus adalah Silent Night, The First Noel, dan Angels We Have Heard From High. Single Pat-a-pan dan Riu Riu Chiu mungkin belum dikenal luas sebagai tembang natal, tapi keunikan komposisi lagu dan vokal David yang diberikan pada kedua lagu ini patut diacungi jempol J . Untuk single “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, David berduet dengan Charice Pempengco, gadis filipina yang sebelumnya dikenal di youtube karena suaranya yang luar biasa dan diberi gelar sebagai the world’s next diva.

Dari keseluruhan, album ini sangat patut dimiliki untuk menemani suasana natal 2009. Pastinya disarankan untuk membeli album originalnya,,, tapi belum tau apa sudah dirilis di Indonesia.

P.s. Mungkin David Cook juga bisa segera mengikuti jejak David Archuleta untuk merilis album Christmas. Who knows?

PLANETSHAKERS

Planetshakers adalah sebuah band rohani Australia yang dibentuk setelah Konferensi PlanetShakers pertama pada tahun 1997.
Awalnya mereka berasal dari Adelaide, namun sekarang berbasis di Melbourne di PlanetShakers City Church. Mereka memiliki jadwal tur setiap tahun ke Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Eropa, Afrika Selatan, Asia Tenggara, Australia dan Selandia Baru. Sejak tahun 1997 band ini telah tumbuh menjadi 5-18 anggota yang melakukan perjalanan dunia secara teratur.

“Namesake” adalah sebuah kru hip hop yang terdiri atas JAESON MA dan MIKE WHANG dari Los Angeles, California.
